Logic & technical approach

• Source data is imported into Power Query for repeatable processing.
• Cleaning and standardization happen before datasets are combined.
• Transformation steps are retained so the process can be refreshed when sources change.
• The master dataset becomes the basis for subsequent reporting or reconciliation.

Accounting controls

• Source structures need to be consistent or handled in transformation steps.
• Data types must be checked before append/combine operations.
• Duplicates or blank fields need review according to the workflow.
• Refreshed output must be reviewed before final reporting use.
